ARCANA Privacy

The iPhone release downloads free with an optional one-time ARCANA Complete in-app purchase (US price $2.99; your store shows the local price). It requires no ARCANA account and includes no subscription, third-party advertising SDK or analytics SDK. Apple processes purchases, payments and refunds under its own policies. ARCANA queries the store for product information and verified purchase entitlements to unlock Complete and restore purchases. Its ownership cache stays on your device; Artists & Architects does not operate a separate receipt-validation server or receive card or bank details. Apple and Google purchases do not transfer between stores.
Your journal, progress and imported personal card photographs remain on your device. ARCANA does not upload them. Operating-system backups may include app data according to your settings. Browser storage and native app storage are separate. If you install a different Android package or use the separate website, its data store is separate; journal export/import does not automatically transfer every progress or photo setting.
Export your journal before uninstalling or clearing app data. Backups and shared readings go only to destinations you choose, which have their own policies. Reinstalling the app does not recover a journal that was not backed up.
Daily study requests dated calendar metadata and selected text passages from Sefaria. Requests include the date and may include timezone and diaspora settings. The destination receives ordinary network information such as IP address and request headers. Sefaria's handling and retention of this information is governed by its privacy policy. ARCANA does not attach journal entries, personal photographs or an ARCANA account to these requests. Planetary calculations run locally.
Included card images, lessons, games and seal illustrations are bundled for offline use. The personal-photo picker lets you select specific images for private app storage; ARCANA does not scan or upload your photo library. External books, charts and merchandise links connect to separate services with their own policies.
The free ARCANA website remains separate. It can load images from external content providers and its host receives ordinary web requests. Advertising hooks on the current website are disabled. This mobile release does not change your browser's stored journal.
